About the Kenyon Observer
The Kenyon Observer is a student-run political and cultural magazine. Our long-form articles offer analysis and commentary on a range of issues from international affairs to national politics to Kenyon life.
Originally founded in 1989 as a conservative undergraduate political journal, the Observer was relaunched in 2011 by Jon Green and Gabriel Rom, who moved away from the exclusively conservative brand and expanded the publication to feature commentary from Kenyon students of all political ideologies and backgrounds.
The online arm of the Observer is a source for more frequent commentary than the monthly content that appears in print. It is our hope that readers will freely interact with this website, posting comments and sending us submissions for consideration at tko@kenyon.edu.
